SKS’s knol got me thinking. Thinking is the first step. It will gestate for some time.

Just imagine a tiny difference in the number of electrons/protons yet look at the vast differences in the properties of the elements. Differences from looks, to softness, to malleability to all kinds of properties. Thus it is clear that perhaps food and what we put into the brain matters far more than we can ever imagine. Perhaps after all we can develop a pill for say knowing Italian. It is one more evidence that the physical brain’s quality is the foundation that determines the quality of the emotional brain.

I used to think that I have developed a bold thesis that explains much of the mess in society and that I have even developed solutions to get rid of this mess. The reality is that all I have done is found a way to interpret the scriptures in a unique way and have been able to decode the scriptures to strip way much of the fuzziness from the understanding of human nature and how the trinity of the mind /brain/pure-self works. Taking the direction from the giants of religion I have just sweeped away the cobwebs from the seemingly new frontier of emotional intelligence which is actually as old as the Egyptian Book of the Dead, The Torah, Confucius, the Buddha and Jesus, even Freud and up to our very own Deepak Chopra.

The 4th R Foundation: The Metaphysics of the Current American Way of Life.

The human mind and brain are like the two wheels of the bicycle of consciousness. Just like the two wheels of a bicycle they are both equally important. Even though the brain and mind relationship is not as clear cut; we can say broadly, that the mind represents the conscious/awareness part of our consciousness and the brain represents the unconscious part of our consciousness. Both are indispensable and interdependent parts of our being.

Our big concern is why has the education establishment not proposed any radical education initiatives. We consistently have trouble educating emotionally challenged students who do not improve/learn no matter how much attention is payed to them. It is a sad state of affairs but the real cause is the same fundamental reason why the whole society is so messed up. Ever since the days of Aristotle it was decided that controlling bad behavior was the only choice for controlling the bad elements of society. Laws were enacted to control bad behavior. So a perpetual control of bad behavior is the government response while the emotionally challenged brain will continue to create what it is wired to do. It is like the brain is brass and we expect it to behave like gold. We treat our students in the same way; we control their behavior. We treat our students by controlling their emotionally challenged behavior the same we control the criminal elements of our society; by carrots and sticks. Controlling bad behavior does not work just as controlling crime does not work because by controlling bad behavior we try to control a symptom while leaving the real cause unaddressed. Bad behavior is the symptom of emotionally challenged brains. The real problem to be educated here is the emotionally challenged brain.

The brain’s language is biochemical and the mind’s language is expressed in words. Raw unconscious emotional intelligence is the domain of the brain and the mind’s emotional intelligence is soaked with conscious reality. At the subconscious level the two share their properties in a mixture depending on the brain/mind level.

The problem Mr. President and the solution. You are an exceptionally well prepared leader. You know exactly what are the problems facing the country. You even have well deliberated solutions. Unfortunately your thinking and your solutions are confined to the narrow and age old conventional knowledge since the time of the golden age of Greece.

The Greek philosophers discovered that an ideal society is a wise society where the laws are based on wisdom and the entire masses are wise. However they could not understand wisdom, so making everyone wise was not an option. They settled on the next best option which was to control the behavior of the bad elements of society. Ever since we have been refining laws and adding amendments and we are still far from controlling human behavior. Society is still a big mess.

Remember your enthusiasm during your early days? Don’t you think you have done everything to the best of your ability and have acted as best as a president can and yet things are still the same! It is because of the very nature of the problems facing America. The reality of the crisis demands a different approach if you want to fix the current baggage of problems facing our country.

Knol so far is just a noun. It has the potential to be an adverb. For instance we can say that my latest knol is the ‘knolest’ of knols. As in the ‘coolest’ of cool knols; where in the case of knols ‘knolest’ applies to a knol that is packed with new and world changing knowledge that expands the frontiers of science, art, music, religion… Any knol that for instance enhances the understanding and improvement of life we can term a knolest of knols. Knol = unit of knowledge; knolest = unit of knowledge that has been improved to the level where it is beneficial to human beings in a new way. I would like to announce a ‘Knolest Knol of the Year Award’ that will carry a $1000.00 cash prize.

The ground rules are that each knoller can propose one of their own knols, or some one else’s knol and they must explain why this knol is the knolest knol. All knollers are invited to this contest.

We can also use knol as a verb…as in ‘please ‘knol’ your life as in fill it with practical and cutting edge new knowledge, or as in your essay is not ‘knolled’ enough so you can knol it further like this…

Just as googling means to search the web for information, knolling means to be involved with the knol platform either as a knol reader to seek knowledge to improve life or to share one’s own insights by writing knols to improve the knowledge base of all mankind.

Knowledge is accredited knowledge, knoledge is having the edge because of the out of the box knowledge! A knoller’s life means a life dedicated to expanding the froentiers of knowledge.

I have a plan to expand the prize to at least $100,000. It will depend on full cooperation of Google management and all knollers.
