Abstract

‘The brain is the engine, while the car is the physical body of the human being where the mind is the driver of this car of life.’

The brain is like the small child, the teenager, the adult and or the master. The mind is the manager. The manager has access to reality while the child, the teenager and to some extent the adult lives in his own dream world. First and foremost they both have overlapping hardware. Where the brain develops this hardware that the mind totally depends on. So the quality of the brain supplied hardware on which the mind depends determines the minds own quality. However the silver lining in all this is the true self is also very much real and this true self also supplies the mind with its own input. The true self often shows its frustration in the form of our so called conscience. So when one is feeling guilty then the mind and the true self are feeling guilty. Of course sometimes the mind feels guilty while the conscience is neutral and vice-versa. As when one applies for a job and is turned down because of lack of skills; then the mind knows that the self has screwed up by not developing the skills needed to get the job. But the true self is frustrated as it is the self image that has screwed up. It is all very confusing and frustrating but it will all be very clear through this knol.

Before I go into the topic of this knol please consider that these *recent knols that I have written on the differences between the brain, mind, and the true self open up a new avenue of research in the mind sciences. We are still too fuzzy about the brain and mind so we have little clue of what emotions spring from which source and why. Having a clear idea of the functions of the brain and mind clears the way to answers to a new set of hundreds of questions. From such questions as where does inspiration spring from, to who controls which behavior to who controls which emotion becomes more clear. Knowing which part of our human nature is coming from where. And which part of it is cast in stone and which not; will not only open up new insights into the working of the human personality, mentality, behavior, consciousness, subconsciousness and unconsciousness; it will give us deep insights of how to correct and master our brains and minds. It will lead to new forms of education.

In order to understand wisdom education we must know the true nature of wisdom and we must figure out how wisdom is generated. The most essential factor is we must know the true nature of the mind and the brain. We must also know the difference between the brain and mind and the relationship between them.

The brain’s domain is emotional intelligence and the mind’s domain is intelligence. The mind knows and the brain understands. The mind speaks in words while the brain speaks in electric currents generated by the biochemical process. The brain is unconscious and works innately. The mind works consciously. Emotional intelligence is generated innately. Knowledge is acquired consciously. It is the brain that provides the power of emotional intelligence to the mind, innately through biochemical actions/reactions. Wisdom nor its attributes cannot be learned because wisdom is a product of a biochemical process. This is the reason wisdom cannot be taught. It can be created through making the brain free of all emotional baggage. In order for the mind to become emotionally intelligent the mind has to consciously focus on its own brain and clean the brain of all emotional baggage.

Wisdom is impossible to teach because wisdom is a product of a biochemical process. Just try to speak in words to a biochemical reaction! Or try to remove a stink in your house by speaking to the source of the stink. Or try teaching a pig table manners. Or try pleading or preaching with a dirty bed sheet to clean itself. All mental activity of the brain is biochemically processed. The brain speaks biochemically where the quality of the biochemical process is determined by the physical quality of the brain. The physical quality of the brain is determined by the level of the emotional baggage in the brain. So to improve the biochemical actions/reactions in the brain one has to get rid of the emotional baggage. Once the emotional baggage is removed the brain becomes physically pure and a pure brain oozes wisdom. The super mature brain innately projects a wise mind. Thus wisdom education is emotional healing therapy. Wisdom education has nothing to do with learning wisdom or its attributes. And certainly not through words.

It is the very being of wisdom that it is a secondary quality. It is the property of the pure self. It is a property of the physical material of the pure self. The pure self itself is the property of the pure brain; a brain free of emotional baggage. In order to create wisdom we will have to create emotional baggage free brains. Thus wisdom education is emotional baggage removing education.
We do not take the emotional baggage removing route for wisdom education because we have not figured out that wisdom is an innate property of the pure brain which is free of all emotional baggage.

We teach wisdom just like we teach math and science by providing knowledge, mostly what are the benefits of wisdom. We preach, persuade, threaten, reward, punish and entice people to be wise. But as wisdom is a fragrance/symptom/innate-property we make little progress in teaching wisdom. After all we cannot improve a fragrance by preaching, persuading, threatening, rewarding…it to improve.

It is amazing that wisdom is not a conscious entity. It is an innate entity and it does not listen to teaching. However thoughts do create biochemical reactions in the brain but it is a very slow process which is brain washing that takes for ever. Yes one can teach the mind math and science; but wisdom is a quality of the brain. And the brain cannot be taught. The brain has to be physically changed to improve the quality of the brain. Thus wisdom teaching can only be done by emotional healing. We already use emotional healing therapies to change the sub-normal to normal. We must use the same to change the normal to super normal.
The pure self starts off exactly like gold ore. Through proper upbringing it gets refined into the pure self. The special qualities of the gold metal innately come into existence when the gold is pure. Similarly the self becomes wise when the self is nurtured into becoming selfless.

For the vast majority of humanity the brain is the defective motor that runs the car of life. While it is the driver, the mind that should be in charge of running the body which includes the brain.The engine should run perfectly driven by the perfect mind but unfortunately the car of life has many breakdowns/runs into the ditch/the breaks fail/there are headlong collisions/the car jerks/sputters etc. as the engine is defective. This causes even the driver/mind tension/fatigue/anger/frustration/depression/unhappiness/jealousy/restlessness and all the other known and yet to be known emotional problems. Thus the brain condition effects the mind condition which effects the driving/living quality of the car of life.

 
This motor being defective creates maintainance problems that result in all kinds of emotional problems. Not only does this make us suffer individually, it makes us suffer as groups and countries. This is the direct cause of wars and group jealousies, divorces and depression, poverty and emotional ignorance. This causes us physical and emotional pain. This is also a direct result of most not finding pure happiness, the ultimate goal of philosophy.

We continue to bring up our children with the same defective upbringing.The knowledge that we put into the brain is the fuel that drives the brains motor. This fuel we start putting into the brain from the fetus stage onwards. Fortunately most fetus have a deep cushion in the form of the womb and so the womb-life time fuel is mostly innately good. The fuel during upbringing is another matter. Those who provide this defective knowledge/fuel in the form of defective upbringing/beliefs, cause physical damage to the brain motor. As a result the brain motor/engine becomes damaged and creates all kinds of physical/emotional problems for the car/car of life. Having a defective car makes the driver/mind emotionally defective. And we all know a defective car motor causes lots of break downs depending on the extent of the motor damage. In life these breakdowns come in the form of all sorts of emotional troubles for individuals as well as for groups. Whole societies become emotionally and physically sick and one can see this in the form of whole countries being corrupt, tolerating dictatorships, over spending on defense etc., etc.

 
Even the well educated countries like America provide defective fuel to the brain motor in the form of ‘my child is the best’ thus creating a defective brain motor that creates trophy self images across the board.

(September 19): There was a very interesting Larry King interview yesterday with four leading brain scientists. I was hoping that Larry will ask what is the difference between brain and mind but he didn’t. The current fuzziness between brain and mind is a fundamental factor for all this mess and confusion regarding emotional intelligence and emotional intelligence education. This fuzziness is reflected in all, across the board areas of life. From our struggle to know, understand and master life, (Even mastering life is a wrong goal, this holy grail of education! The goal has to be to become our true self) to finding pure happiness and everything else in between.

I have been blessed with a very first hand inside out experience of the very huge differences between the brain and mind. I fell into this huge 24/7 trap of a extremely potent bad habit. Take the example of smoking. The bad habit starts with the mind being curious. On the urging of the mind the person starts to try out smoking. At first the brain resists by coughing and showing the unpleasantness of the effects of smoking. But peer pressure etc. gains the upper hand and the person starts to smoke and gradually the brain starts to get addicted to the nicotine. At some stage the smoker realizes that he is addicted and wants to stop. It is the mind that wants to break loose of the smoking. Now it is the brain that is hungry for nicotine and so it projects/protests its hunger through withdrawal symptoms. One can see that to break bad habits it is a very big and necessary advantage to know where any given emotion is coming from, in fact the emotion can come from the brain, the mind, the situational reality, the real self, the self image or even from one’s ingrained group beliefs.

The combination of brain and mind as a compound unit produces consciousness. An engine which has many parts produces power for the vehicle. Suppose we have a problem in the engine of a car, the problem must lie in some particular part and so unless we know which part needs repairing we cannot fix the engine.

Similarly as of today we do not have a good idea of the differences between brain and mind and so we do not have a clearly defined way of fixing the consciousness problem. This knowledge gap has rippling effects on all aspects of life for individuals, groups and countries. It has a direct result on such things as understanding of the self, mind, brain, and consciousness. This ignorance is reflected in how we create education, how we live our life, and it effects/affects everything from life to foreign policy. No wonder we do not have ‘mind’ as a topic in High School as our understanding of the mind is fuzzy.

We not only under utilize our emotional intelligence we pollute it. As a result personal human capital is misunderstood, misdeveloped and misused; and this affects all human behavior. As a result the brain speaks one language, the mind speaks another and much gets lost in translation.

All these new knols open up a huge new avenue to understanding the mind sciences from sociology to psychology to education and every mind science subject in between. In fact it opens up opportunities to apply these insights to enhance every mind science subject and even more important it gives us an opportunity to open up and create a whole new world of insights that not only wakes us up to the different functions of the mind and brain it also gives us the opportunity to create a new subject just like math and science that enables man to educate and reeducate en mass entire populations to become super mature by perfectly aligning the brain, mind and the true self. Just think of the impact of super maturity on individual, group and country life.

And such notions as the world being one family will now no longer be a fantasy!!!

The brain and mind are two separate though inter dependent entities. Where the brain is the projector and the mind is the image. The difference between the brain projector and the regular film projector is that the brain projector projects a ‘live’  self conscious mind. Its like the film being projected has not just images but self conscious images that are aware of their own self and are aware of the context of their surroundings; as well as they can look back at the projector. The mind is the true ‘I’, the ‘me’ of each individual. However for most people the ‘I’ is cloaked by the self image. As a result for most individuals the self image is the mind. The self image is projected by a polluted brain. The more pure the brain, the closer to the real self the person is. Please understand that it is the brain process that creates the ‘I’ – the mind. We are a projection of our brain. The emotional quality of our mind is determined by the physical and emotional quality of our brain.

We are well aware of life situations where we feel by the heart. For instance when we feel that we are falling in love we know that our heart has fallen in love. What really happens is that when ever we feel from our heart then it is our brain that is really the one that is acting up. So when our heart flips it is really our brain that has flipped. What happens is that the brain does not see/perceive the current reality. It gets the information from the mind of the current reality and then it interprets this information through a past entrenched pattern of this reality. In the case of falling in love our culture is such that as children long before we are ready to fall in love we build up an image of our ideal mate. This image can come from a celebrity image from the screen or sport hero or even a neighbor etc. So the brain forms a pattern of expectations of the ideal mate. The brain is already ready to fall in love. And when it gets information from the mind of someone who fits the ideal pattern entrenched in the brain the brain flips over in seconds.

When the brain gets excited the neural activity gets more active and for this the brain needs more blood/oxygen. It sends the signal to the heart to pump more blood. The heart follows the instructions and as a result we can feel the extra activity of the heart. The heart pumping more blood makes us feel as if the heart is feeling the love. All the heart is doing is pumping extra blood without any self consciousness. The extra pumping of the blood makes the heart feel warmer which we mistake for love.

Even before we achieve self consciousness in the fetus stage the brain mind relationship starts to develop through the forming of neural networks in the developing brain. Gradually we become conscious. From the very beginning of our conscious life the very essence of our being, our soul, our self, our mind begins to form and it starts to figure out the very nature of our existence, our ‘I’. Questions such as ‘Who am I’ start to get answered by the feed back the tiny undeveloped brain gets from internally experiencing the external world. The entire external world for the fetus is the womb sack that it is encased in and the womb-environment (W-R, womb-reality). The brain gradually develops a well entrenched image pattern of it’s own self, others and what and how the world is.

These entrenched patterns create a personal reality ( P-R ) which the brain knows as actual reality. The normal mind perceives life the way it is in the now. The mind knows the current reality. However the information is taken over by the brain and the brain takes the information provided by the mind and cross references it with it’s own P-R/past entrenched experience with the similar information in its memory. Depending on how deeply entrenched this information is in the brain the brain decides what this new reality is and how this new information is going to be acted on. A perfect example is a shy person.  As an adult his mind knows that there is no reason to feel shy but it it is the entrenched brain pattern that says that the situation demands shyness and so the person feels shy. Thus the self image/brain pattern controlled real self/mind is compelled to feel shy against the wishes of its own mind, its own self’s current experience.

Whether the brain or the mind is going to prevail or ideally whether the brain and mind are on the same page depends on the entrenched brain patterns.  In fact the quality of the mind depends on the quality of the brain. In fact the ultimate power of perceiving the actual reality depends upon the entrenched personal reality  pattern of the brain. The mind for all practical purposes is what the brain enables it to be.

From the very beginning of life depending on the genes, physical health in the womb and the early upbringing the brain begins to form a pattern of actual reality (A-R). As long as the newer life is more pleasurable it keeps on the same page as the mind, that is; it keeps changing its pattern according to the new information. It keeps changing it’s own self image and the whole context of life as if the newer more pleasurable reality is the real reality. Just like a king if made into an emperor forgets that he was a king and adjusts to the new reality. However if he is deposed he clings to his fond memories of being king and his entrenched brain pattern of being king dictates his brain/mind collective. Depending on how much happier his life was as king his brain will keep interpreting life from the past pattern and will proportionately miss the past life and regret the current one.

All human brains are similar. If the brain is exposed to a healthy upbringing the brain/mind collective works on the same page. However in some cases the brain gets stuck at interpreting reality from a -2 premature brain level. The mind is so weak at this stage that the brain rules. In other cases the brain gets stuck at interpreting reality from a -1 immature brain level. At this level the brain is corrupt. However the mind is developed enough to realize the dangers and consequences of corruption so the brain/mind collective is cautious at this level. For most Americans the brain is stuck at +1 where the brain pattern creates a trophy self image. For Americans the brain mind problem comes from the individual’s brain treating the own self as a trophy and thus America looks for a trophy life. This creates problems of depression, over spending and over expectations from life etc.

If the brain is exposed to a healthy emotional and physical environment then the entrenched brain pattern keeps changing with each new reality of life and the brain starts to interpret actual reality just as the mind does in the now, as actual reality. The brain’s personal reality and the actual reality both become the same. The brain becomes the second nature of the mind. The mind and brain become one. Life at this stage becomes magical. Instead of the brain and mind interpreting reality differently and wasting their energy in conflicting interpretations of life contents/contexts the brain and mind forces work together complimenting each other making life’s pleasures and accomplishments real. Not only ensuring high level life successes and even ensuring true happiness and true life.

Even when the mind/I/self is cloaked by the self image the real ‘I’/mind/self is still always there and as it is choked by the false self image the real ‘I’ feels restless and from time to time flares up. We often experience our real self as our conscience. There are tens of millions of people who feel restless without knowing why. It is mostly because their real self is tired of being in bondage! The mind/self/’I’ is frustrated of being a slave of the brain projected self image.


Our quality of life from relationships to restfulness to happiness all depend on the level of understanding we have about our self, others and the way things are and work in life. In order to understand our life’s ropes we must be able to understand our emotions. In order to understand our emotions we must be able to define our emotions in general as well as our individual and group terms. Also we must define emotions within the paradigms of science, which means that we should be able to measure and weigh our emotions.

It is surprising that no one thought of quantifying the many stages of development that the mind/brain goes through. It is clear that the very nature and quality of emotions experienced and expressed by an infant, a teenager, an adult and a master will be different in quality which boils down to the maturity level of each emotion will be substantially, of a different nature and quality.

The way the mind works is, it works in images. The brain throws up several self images. At any given time I may be my self image of being a father, at another time I may be a self image of a journalist. As there are four levels of the mind the mind is always working at each of these four levels. It is like life is like a four story house. One enters ones life at the lowest story. And if life is a nurturing experience at this first level, the self image climbs up to the 2nd floor. If life is unhealthy then the self image gets stuck at the ground level. As life develops physically and grows up in age the body goes to the second floor. The second floor experiences of life create their own self image. Due to an unhealthy emotional life there form two self images. One living on the ground level and the other living on the second floor. As the unhealthy mind grows in age it again forms a third self image at the third floor. In a healthy life the person must live in his chronical age emotional intelligence powered self image only on the floor of his chronicle age. It is like the person is living on the third floor while he feels and believes he is living on the second and first floors.

When the person moves from one floor to the next the lower floor lights and AC should be switched off. But in the case of the unhealthy mind the lights and the AC are both on on the lower floors. So electricity and energy is being wasted and the electric generator is also working over time even causing extra pollution. The mind works over time at multi levels at the same time thus causing the generation of emotional pain. Resulting in tiredness and a confused understanding of the self. The self image becomes a compound of different quality self images. This causes restlessness and above all pollution of emotional intelligence.

In terms of the mind the electric energy is emotional intelligence. As emotional intelligence is stuck at the three lower levels it causes all kinds of pollution in terms of premature, immature and mature emotional intelligence. It is like the quality of electricity and the amount of electricity generated at each floor is different thus causing energy havoc in the house.

Also in order for the self image to reach the fourth floor the mount of emotional intelligence required demands that all consumptions of emotional intelligence at the lower three levels be switched off. If one wants to live life at the top floor of the house of life then the emotional intelligence power must be of the top quality and must be used only for the top level and the lower levels must be switched off. When the emotional intelligence lights are switched on at the lower levels, in any one or more levels then there isn’t sufficient emotional intelligence power to light up the top floor of life. So even if the body in age terms moves to the top floor the self image continues to live at the lower level.

Also in order for the self image to reach the fourth floor the mount of emotional intelligence required demands that all consumptions of emotional intelligence at the lower three levels be switched off. If one wants to live life at the top floor of the house of life then the emotional intelligence power must be of the top quality and must be used only for the top level and the lower levels must be switched off. When the emotional intelligence lights are switched on at the lower levels, in any one or more levels then there isn’t sufficient emotional intelligence power to light up the top floor of life. So even if the body in age terms moves to the top floor the self image continues to live at the lower level. Also the emotional intelligence power at each lower level is different in quality. And when emotional intelligence is being generated of two or more different qualities at the same time the amalgam is a mixture that causes confusion in understanding and projection of the compound self. This results in all kinds of problems from misinterpreting the self to misinterpreting all other factors in and of life.

I have quantified the mind as follows:

a)premature mind of a new born child quantified with a value of negative 2.
b)immature mind of a teenager quantified with a value of negative 1.
c)Mature mind of an adult quantified with a value of positive 1.
d)Super mature mind of a master quantified with a value of positive 2.

As all human behavior including emotions spring from mostly one of

the above mind levels I have quantified all human behavior by the level of the mind it is coming from. For instance murder is a -2 activity. To be humble is a +2 behavior.

The very complex brain mind relationship.

Our mind/’me’/’I’ is in the grip of our brain projected self image due to the Emotional Brain Garbage ( EBG ).

Emotional brain garbage that is the fuel that creates the phony self image. In order to make the mind free we need to take out the EBG from our brains. To take out the emotional brain garbage (EBG) one must identify the self with the mind (as your mind is the real you )  and focus with contextual mindfulness on the brain garbage as in:

1) I am not my brain.

2) My brain is an organ of my body, just like my hands. As I have full control of my hands I must have full control of my brain.

3) I must focus on my self image and understand why my self image has cloaked my real self – my real mind.

4) As my mind is in the grip of my brain, I must realize that it is my body which is dictating my behavior.

5) It is a big handicap that our brain remains in charge of our true self – our true mind.

6) The bigger handicap is that we are not even crystal clear about this problem and as a result we are confused about our self and we don’t even know where to begin.

7) So begin by becoming aware that ‘I am my mind and my brain is an organ of my body, just like my hands are.

8) Once you know who you are in your mind, identify with your true ‘I’ and start the process of changing not only your self image of your mind but also focus on how to change the infrastructure of your brain. It is not an easy task as your brain is hardware and software (not just hardware ) that is programmed to generate electro chemical reactions that project your false self – your false mind. Your self image – your phony mind is backed with and powered by a physically altered brain. So be patient as the needed physical changes of the brain will take time. But once you start on this journey, remember time will keep passing anyway, you will awaken one day as your true mind – as your true ‘I’!

9) Fortunately we are now putting a lot of focus on how to bring our brain’s physical and emotional powers into top shape. Brain exercises and brain therapy has become a multibillion dollar industry. Find the most professionally qualified classes and join them. Remember that the so called normal brain is not enough. You need to not only free the mind/self/I from the grip of the brain; you have to physically and emotionally remake your brain so that your brain and you are on the same page.

10) If you are sensitive of the fact that you think that if your brain is defective then you are defective. Then you must wake up to the fact that your brain is a vessel. And just like every other vessel it needs cleaning. The problem is not you the problem is in your brain carrying and being powered by EBG. Emotional baggage that needs to be taken out of the brain. This EBG is the evil that is bad and though it affects you it is not you. And EBG can be taken out and your brain can be made clean again!

11) Do you know why in spite of all the reforms and changing of laws, efforts of NGOs and all kinds of foundations and all the religious revival etc. society is as ridden with problems as ever? Because we are trying to fix the symptoms instead of treating the real disease. The real disease is the emotional baggage in most brains. And I am trying to wake up the world to this huge mistake.

In fact you must develop your brain where it gives up its control of the mind and becomes an organ of the body where it lets you/your mind become its master. Where the brain stops cross referencing  the current reality and interpreting it in past patterns. This can only be done when the brain has no emotional brain garbage/baggage. When the brain is squeaky clean it stands aside and lets the mind perceive actual reality as actual reality.

Are you, your brain’s and mind’s CEO?

The brain works from images that are put together from the past and present amalgamation. The mind knows the current reality. The brain reacts via entrenched electrochemical processes unmindful of the present. The brain reacts with blind passion without thinking and the mind thinks and reflects on the current reality.

The mind is in charge of the five senses. It absorbs the current reality through these senses. The self/’I’ gets the current reality from the mind but has the brain to understand this information from the mind. When the brain is stuck at a lower level then even though the I is sensing the current reality through the mind the I only understands the distorted reality that is reinterpreted by the brain. Thus people living in the same reality grasp it differently and so their behavior is different as their knowledge and understanding is different.

 This is what life is all about. It is like the job of CEO is open and available. The mind wants this job but the brain is not prepared enough to understand and take this job. So the mind watches along with the true self as the CEO job remains unfulfilled. Everyone has this opportunity to develop their brains to the level where they can become their own brain and minds CEO.

But please realize that you have the power to change into your true self – your true mind and above all please make sure your future generations grow up into pure beings with no EBG fuel to power and cause a polluted brain.

The human mind is consciousness that manifests itself as the self and

the self is the mind that manifests itself as consciousness.

I am beginning to see the connection between the brain, mind, self image, consciousness, self and conscience! And even the connection between the mind and wisdom. I also see a clearer picture of the Id*, Ego and Super Ego. I was looking up the description of mind in my child’s text book – The World of Psychology by Samuel E. Wood and Ellen R. Green Wood. There is no mention of mind in the index, though mentality is mentioned.


There we go again. Just as W I S D O M is defined by its attributes, the mind is also defined by its attributes!!!


So the mind also is mentioned by its attributes! Wikipedia has the following definition: Mind (pronounced /ˈmaɪnd/) refers to the aspects of intellect and consciousness manifested as combinations of thought, perception, memory, emotion, will and imagination, including all of the brain’s conscious and unconscious cognitive processes. “Mind” is often used to refer especially to the thought processes of reason. Subjectively, mind manifests itself as a stream of consciousness….

Again the Webster dictionary mentions the mind as:

1 : recollection, memory <keep that in mind> <time out of mind>

2 a : the element or complex of elements in an individual that feels, perceives, thinks, wills, and especially reasons b : the conscious mental events and capabilities in an organism c : the organized conscious and unconscious adaptive mental activity of an organism.

I am finding more and more that the mind* and the self image are one and the same entity! They both have the same exact properties. If you want to improve your mind what you do is improve your self image and if you want to improve your self image improve your mind. So I think that the face of the mind is the self image; the manifestation of the mind is the self image. And as you can see your self image you can also see your mind! The defects of your self image are also the defects of your mind. And if you want to improve your self image you have to improve your brain. If you want to improve your mind you again have to improve your brain. Both the self image and the mind are manifestations of consciousness. Both are the projections of the brain. And consciousness has the same qualities! The lowest form of consciousness is powered by ignorance, the lowest form of the self image is powered by ignorance. The highest form of consciousness is powered by wisdom, which is the highest developed stage of emotional intelligence; The highest form of the self image is again powered by wisdom.

So I am speculating that the self image is the mind which manifests itself as consciousness; consciousness manifests itself as the mind. (But my speculation has real practical benefits!!!!) Or better still consciousness is the mind that manifests itself as the self and the human mind is consciousness that manifests itself as the self. The self image is the face of the mind.  The mind is the self conscious self image. Unfortunately for most of us consciousness gets stalled at a lower level and so for all practical purposes our consciousness is the mind’s own image that manifests itself as the self image.

Conscience is the highest form of consciousness and is the highest humanness potential which means it is the real you. The pure you is your conscience. Your conscience is the Christ and the Buddha in you. Although I have already written all this separately in knols this is my super knol on this exciting insight.

When consciousness develops to its purest form then it is our conscience. Our conscience is our real self. When our conscience and consciousness are one then our true self and our self image are one. Then our mind and our self image are one. Then our consciousness has developed to its intended potential.

What are the practical benefits of this observation/insight? We can redefine the aim of education, which now is to develop our minds to the highest super mature level to: develop our self image to the highest super mature level which means to develop our self image to the extent that our self image dissolves into our true self; which means our self image vanishes and our true self becomes real and free. In other words our lower level mind develops into the super mature level, pure mind. The mind reaching its fully developed potential.

No wonder since the ancient times we have been told to become self less and humble. Thus we have been told to become selfless and humble without being shown how. Now it is clear that to become selfless one has to get rid of the self image which is the same as saying to get rid of our mind! (Not really just  to get rid our mind’s own phony self image) No wonder it is almost impossible to get rid of the mind because it is like telling the mind, the self image to get rid of its own self.

Well what we are trying is to get rid of the phony self image, the phony mind. We can do this by identifying with our conscience as our true self. The self image, the mind is too emotionally attached to its own phony self image/phony mind so when some of us try to change the mind’s  own belief system it becomes mostly impossible to change. The self image/mind is projected by the brain. And it is the Emotional Brain Garbage

( EBG ) that supplies the power to the self image/mind. We can shut off this power by removing the EBG from the brain. So instead of pleading and preaching to our own self image to get rid of itself, which will never happen, we must focus on cutting the power supply that generates the self image. We get rid of the EBG and the self image gets stopped from being projected and the real self actualizes.


The mind runs the show of living, behaving and acting out life within the parameters of the script provided by the brain. The brains script writing abilities are restricted by the amount of emotional intelligence that the brain is powered by. Each progressive stage of the brain is actualized as the earlier emotional intelligence is replaced by a more mature emotional intelligence. The brain is the projector that runs on the power provided by the developed emotional intelligence potential.

The brain is a physical body that develops into a super body when the exercise it gets is provided by super mature parents. When the exercises provided are by premature, immature and mature parents then the brain develops physically into a projector that projects a premature, immature or mature mind/self.

The aim of education can also be defined as: to develop our consciousness to the level where it becomes our conscience! This happens when our self image, our mind becomes super mature. And super maturity is projected by the super mature brain. So it again boils down to removing the EBG from the brain.

As EBG can come from child abuse and also by wrong beliefs being integrated into the child’s brain we have to have Emotional Intelligence Education (E-I-E) from very early on to remove the EBG from the brain.

*the mind when manifested as the self image is not the pure mind it is the self image of the real mind that we use to live our lives! As the self image is phony our mind’s image is phony and so our life’s agenda is phony. Our happiness is phony, our life is phony. where the the quality of phoniness depends on the quality of our developed brain which depends on the level of EBG empowering our brains.


My bottom line is if this idea has trillions of dollars worth of benefits then the idea deserves all the worlds support. This idea is a living eternal miracle that can bless all the corners of the globe; even if a lot of further research is required. With this idea the practical benefits start right here and right now!!!.

It has applications in all the mind sciences even in high tech applications of AI.

Brain, Mind and Awareness.

Awareness, mindfulness and contextual mindfulness.

The mind runs the show of living, behaving and acting out life within the parameters of the script provided by the brain.

It is extremely important that we know exactly which – the brain and/or mind is in charge of one’s own perception and the tool for this is our ability to use awareness. Awareness is when one’s true self, one’s mind, the ‘I’, free of the entrenched brain patterns is able to reflect on the full context of the brain mind relationship and its resultant out comings – how we perceive our own mind/self/’I’/’me’, how we perceive others and how we perceive the full context of our life. Awareness is in play when we identify our self with the mind and focus our mind/self/’I’ on what we perceive our self to be. When we observe our self from the point of view of Mother Nature/actual reality. When we observe not only the context of our current life and why it is the way ‘I’/we are; we also review our options of what the mind/me/I/self can be. With our mind’s eye, the other name of awareness, we must understand the consequences/context of our brain controlled self.

The mind runs the show of living, behaving and acting out of life within the parameters of the script provided by the brain. It is the brain that decides how extensive the potential horizon of the mind will be. Life’s potential is provided by the brain’s developed emotional intelligence. This emotional intelligence is the power that defines the power of the mind/self.

Even when the mind/self is heavily trapped under the cloak of the brain generated patterns the full mind/self/I/me is still there, and once you become awakened to your true self, you can gradually chip away at the entrenched brain patterns which are buried in the unconscious. It is a very slow process but once you start on the self awareness journey each step makes it easier for the next step though sometimes it may even be necessary to take out side help.

Awakening our true self and strengthening the self, even listening to our true self (which often flares up as our conscience) we can and will save us from all this brain pattern inflicted hurts. All this stumbling through life, all these hurts and pain and restlessness need not be a part of our life, even group and country’s life. All these emotional holes that we tolerate and think that they a part of our human nature we can fill/remove through awareness. Awareness makes it possible to completely align the brain mind relationship where the brain and mind both perceive actual-reality as actual-reality.

These brain patterns are caused by the buried hurtful memories that keep playing like broken records. They gave us entrenched brain patterns often when we were too little to understand that the pain we went through was not our fault. In our unconscious we still keep blaming our self for all the hurts, pains, insults, fears etc. So we take out these buried memories in full awareness of our current actual reality. We re experience the actual past pain, fear just the way we felt when it happened. While at the same time focused on the current reality.

Awareness helps us to put our whole life in context. It makes us aware of our own personal reality especially as it relates to our actual reality. It gives us a ‘third party’ awareness, an awareness of an outside observer observing one’s own self/mind. Not only do we become knowledgeable about our ‘outside in’ perception patterns and our ‘inside out’ perception patterns it even gives us the discrepancy between the two. It is this discrepancy that creates all the problems from poverty to restlessness to hunger for more and more and every thing in between.

The goal of awareness is to bring our personal reality (P-R) in line with the real world – the actual reality(A-R). Awareness shows us the gap between the two. The internet is full of ways how to fill this gap – by enabling  the brain mind relationship to become physically and emotionally super healthy.

When you become aware that you are silently observing without judgment your own thought patterns then it is called mindfulness. When you observe that your are observing and at the same time realizing and putting into context your observed thought patterns then it is contextual mindfulness. In contextual mindfulness you observe your own mind/self critically analyze the full context of your entrenched brain patterns. You put side by side your P-R and the A-R. You realize the gap between the two and you dig out the EBG that is causing this discrepancy between the two.

The key is to identify with your true self. And focus your attention on the EBG in your brain. Learn how to remove this EBG and be very, very patient as you must realize that the EBG has actually altered the brain not only emotionally and how it causes the brain to distort A-R but also realize that the entrenched brain patterns are backed by a physically altered brain. Which means it is a fight between you/your mind and a pattern that is generated by and backed by electrochemical reactions in the brain. As you focus more and more on removing the EBG it will gradually weaken and its power to control your self will eventually disappear, making you free!

It is the self image that determines how the person is going to feel about the situation it is in. As Dr. KVSS quotes the following:

 

Wechsler defined intelligence as “the global capacity of the individual to act purposefully, to think rationally and to deal effectively with his/her environment”.

I would like to state that the self image can be defined as the factor that determines the quality to act purposefully, to think rationally and to deal effectively with his/her environment”.

The connection between self image and intelligence is very profound.  It will not be too far fetched to say that ones self image is ones intelligence. At least that ones intelligence flows from one’s self image and is the chief factor that determines the quality of intelligence: the bottom line intelligence quality of emotions.

 Again ‘Wechsler defined intelligence as “the global capacity of the individual to act purposefully, to think rationally and to deal effectively with his/her environment”.’

I think the word capacity here is a little fuzzy and the more clear word would be ‘enabling ability’. So I would restate the above statement as:

I would define intelligence as “the global ‘enabling ability’ of the individual to act purposefully, to think rationally and to deal effectively with his/her environment”.’ Where this enabling ability stems directly from the self image.

( I have defined intelligence as an innate, though in most individuals only partly developed, ability/property that enables all other abilities.)

The advantages of knowing the exact functions and differences of the brain and mind.

Knowing the different functions of the mind and brain, ones mind is used to first clean up its own acts and then the mind is used to clean up the acts of the brain.

I came to researching human nature through my own unique way by trying to get free of my own emotional holes. In the process, through trial and error over several years I perfected the art of focusing my own mind on my brain, especially my sub conscious brain!

The emotional holes originate in the brain and the mind feels trapped by these emotional holes. The mind worries about these emotional holes as being part of its innate character traits. The mind blames its self feeling guilty, frustrated, angry, embarrassed and helpless. Thus the brain generates its emotional hole and the mind generates its own emotional holes. Not knowing which emotions are coming from where creates its own problems. Being able to trace the source of each emotion makes it easier to remove the problem. Instead of the mind also piling on its own worries the mind is woken up to realize that instead of accepting the emotional holes as an unchangeable character trait of the self that these emotional holes spring up from the brain. As the brain is an organ of the body it is meant to be ruled by the mind. Knowing the different functions of the mind and brain ones mind is used to first clean up its own acts and then the mind is used to clean up the acts of the brain.

I can say that the frozen emotional brain infrastructure systematically slices out the perception of actual reality that it is provided by the mind; thus distorting the message and creating a disconnect with actual reality. This disconnect with reality occurs in four basic areas. The brain uses past experience to judge its current life situations. The brain identifies the self, others, how the world is and how it works from an earlier frozen identity of all these four. This phony identity creates the emotional holes that are generated by the brain. Thus all our emotional intelligence problems stem from the brain. These emotional holes become a part and parcel of the brain thus getting integrated into the physical infrastructure of the brain. To get out of these emotional holes it is a big advantage to know that the problem is stemming from the brain, an organ of our body, that is designed to be in our full control. It is also essentially vital that say a shy person realize that the shyness is not in any way a part and parcel of the ‘I’/me/self/mind. The person has to first distance his self from the brain generated shyness.

The biggest worry of a shy person is that he is shy. He thinks and feels guilty, frustrated, helpless, self pity etc. and wants to run away from his shyness but knows that his shyness is a part and parcel of his innate nature. So he tries to cope with it without realizing that the shyness is not originating in the whole self. The person’s self identity is composed of the self identity projected by the brain, the mind and the true self. The mind lives in the now. It keeps passing the current reality information about the self, others, how the world is and how it works. The brain distorts this information into its old set patterns. The mind realizes that the shyness is a big pain. Thus the self realization of the emotional holes and the feelings of guilt, frustration, helplessness, self pity etc all stem from the mind. The emotional hole coming from the brain is bad enough the double jeopardy of the mind worrying about the emotional hole makes it worse. In fact most often the worry stemming from the mind is greater than the emotional hole itself. Take shyness for example, because shyness is considered a minor character trait but we shy people distort it into the end of the world problem.

It is clear that separating the source and cause of the emotional hole and the worry of the emotional hole creates the opening to first realize that the emotional hole is not part of the self and that it is coming from the brain and that it is coming from an organ of the body which should and can be under the control of the self just like the feet and hands are.

As the mind is self conscious and has the ability to reflect on itself and on the brain, the mind is made to focus on the originating sources of the emotional hole and the worry of the emotional hole. First the mind is made to realize there is no original cause for any emotional hole in the mind. What it is doing is generating its own emotional holes by worrying about the brain generated emotional hole. So the second step one takes is shift the focus from worrying that the self/I/mind has this emotional hole and start realizing that this emotional hole can be fixed. It is made to realize that this emotional hole can be fixed by removing the causes in the brain that are responsible for generating these emotional holes.  Thus instead of worrying about and placing the responsibility of the emotional hole on the self one wakes up to the self being free of the emotional hole. Thus the mind gradually stops creating its own emotional holes of guilt, frustration, helplessness, self pity, embarrassment etc. This way only the emotional hole coming from the brain is left.

For all practical purposes our self image is our mind!

The most crucial part of human life is the end product of the emotional intelligence education that each individual goes through during womb life and early childhood. This crucible of early life experiences results in projecting a set self image. This same crucible of life experiences results in shaping the infrastructure of the emotional brain that results in projecting a set mind.

 

The most crucial end result of the individuals emotional intelligence education is the image one has of one’s own self. Everything else is colored through the filter of the self image. The self image comes through womb-conditioning, {[W-C] The emotional impact on the fetus’ brain from the womb environment/reality)(W-R)} upbringing and the early childhood emotional environment.

The most crucial end result of the individuals emotional intelligence education is the emotional mind quality. Everything else is colored through the quality of the filter of the brain. The mind development comes through womb-conditioning, {[W-C]. The emotional impact on the fetus’ brain from the womb environment/reality)(W-R)} upbringing and the early childhood emotional environment.

As the brain works in images and does not perceive actual reality(A-R) it only perceives an image of A-R. Over time all familiar A-R life situations fall into a patterned/habitual/fixed perception. Thus each individual develops a P-R by which one perceives A-R. The mind/self image passes through four basic stages of development, where at the end of each stage the mind develops a personal reality (P-R) by which it perceives the actual reality of its own self, others and the world.

Premature mind/self image (-2) is the fully developed first stage of the mind/self image at birth. As the W-R of nine long months shapes the mind/self image, the mind/self image considers itself as omnipotent and omnipresent. The P-R of the mind/self image is that it alone exists. It considers itself as the only one that counts. It has all the importance while others are not even on the radar screen.

If post natal life is happy then the -2 mind/self image gradually develops into a (-1) immature mind/self image. However when the after birth life is unhappy then instead of the new life environment making the child gradually  forget the past W-R and slowly reshape its perception of A-R as it should; it takes the A-R reality and reconstructs it just as it feels it now – full of pain and frustration. Suppose a king is deposed. How will he feel? He will be depressed and still feel like a king. He will dwell in the past to avoid the current pain. Similarly a child who looses womb life to a life of pain does the same. He remains in his mind/self image as if nothing has changed. As he cannot run from the pain he runs from it in his mind. Just like the king, instead of accepting the new painful A-R he clings to feelings of  omnipotence and omnipresence. Thus a gap appears between his A-R and P-R and instead of the child moving from -2 to -1 mind/self image development the child gets stuck with -2 brain power values.

Now the $64,000 question is how do we remove the -2 brain power values from the brain? How do we make the mind/self image +2? The same way that a self image is developed to become +2 is also the way the mind is developed to become +2! It is the +2 quality of the brain that projects the +2 mind/self image.  So the way for both to become +2 is to make the brain +2. And how does one make the brain become +2?

The brain is stuck at a lower level because it has painful memories from the past that are still playing in the unconscious brain as broken records. The brain is still running on erroneous beliefs that have resulted in  changing the physical infrastructure of the brain. This defective physical structure projects a defective mind/self image. To reconstruct the emotional brain to project a +2 mind/self image these painful memories will have to be removed. I have coined these memories as EBG (emotional brain garbage). By removing the -2, -1 and even +1 EBG we will create a +2 brain which will in turn create a +2 mind/self.

When the brain is stuck at -2 it generates a self image of omnipotence. By removing the -2 EBG from the brain

we remove the -2 self image. Removing the -2 self image makes the brain rise to a higher level. And a higher level brain projects not only a higher level self image it also projects a higher level mind. Thus to fix a defective mind what we need to do is fix the defective self image!

For all practical purposes our self image is our mind! If we can see our self image we can see our mind! If we know our self image we know at least our emotional mind.

So would you like to see your mind?

If you are completely self centered and you think that you are above the law and everyone else is below the law then you are still stuck in the -2 mind level. You can plainly see your mind as premature.

If you think that even though you are not the center of the universe but deserve to be by hook or by crook then you are immature. You can clearly see your mind as immature.

If you respect the law but stretch it as much as you can to pursue a trophy life then your mind is clearly visible as a mature mind.

If you are selfless and everyone else in your mind is #1 irrespective of caste or creed or gender then your mind is super mature for all to see including your own true self.

Thus to become super mature take the steps of making your brain shed all -2, -1 and +1 EBG. Thus shedding your -2, -1 and/or +1 self image. No wonder the prophets, the philosophers and learned men have all emphasized the virtues of humbleness and selflessness!

I hope the world of main stream science will wake up to the A-R of the human mind. And then education will change from management and control to becoming. Remember we are human beings. We have to become our true selves, our true minds. We have to become our minds and not control/manage our minds!

 


Next begins the long and hard journey of the mind focusing on fixing the emotional holes of the brain.
